‘The Flash’ Season 3 News & Update: The Flash-Supergirl Tandem Are Still On the Go This 2017

"The Flash and DC's" whole roster of shows in the UK will be staying on Sky1."Supergirl," which aired its first season on CBS, also exists within this multiverse, with "The Flash," the Barry Allen / Grant Gustin version is crossing over into her parallel world in the episode World's Finest.

"No if anything quite the opposite. We see Sky1 as being a channel for the whole family, which mixes the best of American family adventure and high-action drama with the British stuff."-As stated by Adam MacDonald, the Director of Sky1.

"Supergirl," which aired its first season on CBS, also exists within this multiverse, with "The Flash," the Barry Allen / Grant Gustin version is crossing over into her parallel world in the episode World's Finest.

The explination why Melissa Benoist's maid of might Kara Danvers had to be kept separate from "The Flash and the Green Arrow" were simple: there's no Superman in their world, so they simply invented another alternate reality.

"The Flash" also increases in numbers for its crossover event special episode. This week, The Flash brought in just over 4 million viewers, which is a 36 percent increase from last week's episode and about on par with last season's crossover event.

Adam MacDonald requested that while the channel is planning to develop its original programming, it won't be cutting back on its US imports.

"So we're increasing investment in British content, but we absolutely keep faith with the best of those action-based, family friend American dramas. So we've got plans afoot for next year to increase those as well."-According to Adam Macdonald.

Sky1's ordering more and more original British programming, launching action-adventure series "Hooten and the Lady" this year and bringing back "Stan Lee's Lucky Man" for a second run the coming 2017. But, unlike "Netflix"; this won't be cutting back on acquisitions with the streaming service revealing plans to have up to 50 percent of its content to be the original shows and movies.

"The Flash" airs on Tuesday at 8 pm ET/PT in The CW. While "Supergirl" airs at 8 PM every Monday in The CW.
