The "Saturday Night Live" is not yet done with President-elect Donald Trump as Alec Baldwin reprised his role in his portrayal of the next American president in the show's lampoon edition. In the latest satirical episode, Baldwin mimicked Trump's habit of re-tweeting random tweets, especially from teenagers.
Seth Morton, one of Tweeter users and a high school student, was portrayed by Pete Davidson. The president-elect found solace in Twitter, while having a tutorial on a president's responsibilities.
"I just re-tweeted the best tweet. I mean, wow, what a great, smart tweet," Baldwin echoed Trump's tweet, explaining to Kellyanne Conway played by Kate McKinnon. Baldwin continued and said, "I really did re-tweet him, seriously," with Baldwin's eyes focusing directly on the camera. Conway supported Baldwin and said, "He really did do this."
And while the re-tweeting ensued, the show's backdrop was President-elect's advisers and transition team, who were trying to explain the variations in international policy. But then, with Trump being busy on Twitter, his attention could not be contained on what is more pressing.
Kelly Conway, in her portrayal of Kate McKinnon, lamely attempted to justify Trump's obnoxious behavior, saying Mr. Donald Trump was only trying to distract the media from his cabinet members and from his business. Hilariously, Alec Baldwin corrected Conway and said, "Actually, that is not why I do it; I do it because my brain is bad."
Last Saturday's episode of "Saturday Night Live" was not the first satire edition, depicting the character of president-elect Donald Trump. Even during the campaign, Alec Baldwin has already caught the attention not just of the Americans but also, the attention of viewers from different parts of the world.
A lampoon episode of "Saturday Night Live" in October, where Baldwin earned loud applause from the audience, drew the ire of the real estate mogul-turned America's president. Trump ranted on Twitter, criticizing the "Saturday Night Live," saying it is time to retire the show, as it is boring and unfunny.
