If superheroes already have a universe, classic movie monsters would also have a shared universe. The release on Sunday of the trailer of “The Mummy” is part of Universal Pictures’ process of reviving and updating all of the classic movie monster in the cinematic world.
“The Mummy” is the first film in the monster saga which Universal has begun because the movie studio owes the audience a monster film, Alex Kurtzman, director of the horror film, starring Tom Cruise, Russell Crowe and Sofia Boutella, said. The movie will be shown on June 6, 2017.

Universal also released a two-and-a-half minute preview of behind-the-scenes from “The Mummy,” Movieweb reports. In the preview, Tom Cruise shared his thoughts about the franchise and disclosed that as a kid, he grew up watching horror films from Universal that utterly terrified him.
The behind-the-scene footage of “The Mummy” includes clips from the Africa shoot where there was a lot of explosion and action. It includes the zero gravity scene when Tom Cruise and Annabelle Wallis are around an aircraft while the jet is plummeting to Earth.
From Middle East To London
The plot of “The Mummy” revolves around a tomb buried deeply in the desert where the corpse inside, played by Sofia Boutella, is awakened because her destiny was taken away from her. The story begins in Middle East, but brings the characters to modern-day London where there are hidden labyrinths.
Tom Cruise plays in “The Mummy” a Special Forces soldier with an archaeologist (Annabelle Wallis) as his partner. Mashable notes that based on the trailer, Tom Cruise dispels all fears the movie would be similar to previous spy action and sci-fi flicks the actor had done before. He still uses his usual high knee sprints, bare chest display and unlikely escape from sure death in the trailer for the supernatural thriller.
