You can now add "War for the Planet of the Apes" to the list of blockbuster movies that you can watch in 2017. Twentieth Century Fox has said that the reel will be released in the coming weeks, and will probably be going along the hype and the excitement that "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" is generating.

The trailer for the "War for the Planet of the Apes" will run for 91 seconds and even though MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) has not yet announced anything official, the movie will probably maintain the series tradition and will be released as PG-13. Comic-Con fans were able to get a first glimpse of the teaser trailer.

The 46-second teaser of the "War for the Planet of the Apes" that was shown at Comic-Con indicates that a battle between man and apes is imminent. Thus, with the teaser, it is safe to assume that the official trailer will be coming soon.

According to Andy Serkis, who played the role of Caesar the leader of the apes, the ending of the last series entitled "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" already hinted that there will be a war between the apes and humankind.  In the previous film, peace between the apes and humans, the two remaining dominant species on Earth, was affected because of the brief rise in power of Koba (Toby Kebbell). "War for the Planet of the Apes" is said to be the last franchise of the movie series and is set in San Francisco.

The director of "War for the Planet of the Apes," Matt Reeves confirmed via Twitter that film production is currently ongoing and that the release of the film is currently scheduled on July 14, 2017. For more information about the movie, stay tuned to Game & Guide.
