Now that The CW crossover special event has concluded and the sneak peak of the next episode of the "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 recently debuted, speculations are rife that the mid-season finale will leave a huge cliffhanger that involves Leonard Snart (Wentworth Miller) a.k.a Captain Cold. But it remains a question how the Legion of Doom got Captain Cold to join their team.
The superhero action-adventure TV series is expected to see the comeback of Captain Cold. Avid viewers of "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 are speculating that the new Captain Cold, now a member of Legion of Doom, is an ally in disguise. It can be recalled that Captain Cold sacrificed himself in the previous season to save the Legends as they attempted to destroy a device that helped Vandal Savage's rise to power -- the Oculus. In their attempt to destroy the Oculus, there was a safe held in place for a detonation to occur. Captain Cold stayed behind and was then killed in the explosion.
Rumors are rife that it is likely that the leader of the Legion of Doom, Reverse-Flash, with his ability to travel through time, traveled back just before Snart sacrificed his life. With that said, Captain Cold in "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2, may still be an ally but is just finding the perfect time to destroy the new enemy team from the inside.
As for the plot of "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 Episode 8, the legends will discover a new Time Aberration which will lead them to 1927 Chicago. They will then realize that they have been set up by Legion of Doom members Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher) and the newest member of the Legion of Doom, Malcolm Merlyn (guest star John Barrowman).
Stein (Victor Garber) is going to share a secret with the Legend. He will later be held captive. The preview of "The Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 Episode 8 also shows the Legion will make a deal with, an American gangster and crime boss, and try to distort history, Al Capone.
