Xbox One Release Date, Specs, Games, Price, Tech: Microsoft Claims Rumors Surrounding Xbox One's 'Buggy' OS Are Rubbish

Xbox One's Faulty OS is Just a Rumor, Microsoft Compares Rumor Mongers to Paparazzi

With the next generation of gaming slowly becoming a reality, all the fans who have already pre-ordered the upcoming Xbox One or are planning to get one after the eventual release, had their hearts skip a beat when it was reported that the console’s operating system alongside the revamped Xbox Live is currently a mess. However, those reports have now been tagged as rumors and rubbish.

Discussing the same on Reddit, a confirmed Xbox developer dismissed all such “rumors” by claiming that the QFE 5 version of Xbox One's OS works perfectly fine.

“It's like Xbox One has become Britney Spears back when every part of her life was under constant surveillance by the media\paparazzi. Every detail, relevant or not, could be taken, fed, digested through social media, and emerge as a complete new beast over the span of a day,” the developer stated.

“A console launch is huge and intricate. Every product has bugs and will have bugs throughout the entire product lifetime. I suppose media outlets need to dig for straws to create ‘content’ for their readers.”

On a similar note, the same developer also revealed that the “QFE5 is several weeks old as we've improved the OS even more since then.”

Another journalist, in support of the similar issue related to the Xbox One operating system, took to his Twitter page to reveal: “To all the friendly redditers, I have a very reliable source who has used the QFE 5 version of Xbox One's OS and it's perfectly fine.”

All the problems and rumors related to the issue arrived only recently when it was reported that that the Xbox One's operating system is in serious trouble, via a NeoGAF user’s personal blog.

It was revealed that the user had spoken to an unnamed Xbox developer who told him that “Xbox Live and the OS, especially in functions that involve XBL, are a complete ****ing mess.”

“One source says we aren’t talking weeks until it works correctly but ‘months.’ Things like parties dropping people when moving from one thing to another. Connectivity issues. Missed invites. Friend requests not working, etc,” the post further stated.

Microsoft's Xbox One is currently set for a Nov. 22, 2013 release, and will retail for $499.
