'The Crown' Season 2 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: Another New Love For Princess Margaret? Actress Gives Major Teasers

After the debut of Netflix's new original series "The Crown," fans fell in love with the royal drama surrounding Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, and the rest of the family. With that, there is a lot of anticipation regarding what "The Crown" season 2 will bring, especially for the beloved Princess Margaret.

Many were introduced to the life of Queen Elizabeth, played by Claire Foy, as she took on the throne after her father's death. Along with the reigning queen, viewers also met Princess Margaret, played by Vanessa Kirby, who posed as a big contrast to Queen Elizabeth. As the final episodes of the first season delved deeper into her storyline, many believe that "The Crown" season 2 will continue exploring her life.

Princess Margaret was heart broken when her sister ordered her to cut off her engagement with Group Captain Peter Townsend, played by Ben Miles. However, it seems as though she will not wallow in her sadness for the upcoming "The Crown" season 2. It was hinted by Kirby during an interview with Vanity Fair that a new love is in store for her character. "She meets Antony and she goes head first into a completely new, exciting, dangerous, volatile, dysfunctional relationship and then marriage," she teased.

In addition, she explained that her new romance will bring new opportunities for her, which will be shown in "The Crown" season 2. Antony Armstrong-Jones will reportedly introduce Princess Margaret to Hollywood stars, bringing a new sense of environment in her life. "Tony starts this whole trail of a more bohemian life. Margaret was best friends with Elizabeth Taylor, and she had loads of American actress friends and singers," she added regarding Princess Margaret's life.

Aside from her storyline, "The Crown" season 2 is also expected to show how Prince Philip, played by Matt Smith, will fare after being sent to Australia, as reported by Express UK. This will surely bring some interesting development in his relationship with Queen Elizabeth.

Unfortunately, there has yet to be a release date for "The Crown" season 2. Nevertheless, fans can expect some interesting episodes ahead.
