Apparently, the actor has shown indications at being obsessed with the show's ratings, reports Radar Online.
According to the publication, it appears that Rami Malek might be turning into something like Elliot, the "Mr Robot" Season 3 character he portrays on screen. An insider claimed the actor seem to be acting strangely since the show's popularity skyrocketed. Malek is said to be constantly checking the show's social media popularity, chain smoking, and memorizing scripts when not at work.
The show's massive popularity meant that Rami Malek's privacy is now non-existent. The "Mr Robot" Season 3 cast member has virtually lost his anonymity and is said to be unable to walk New York as without some fan recognizing him. While other personalities might revel at such attention, Malek has not responded in a similar fashion. The actor is now said to be increasingly reclusive, with his circle now getting smaller and is only composed of his agents and his twin brother. The actor has not dated anyone recently and is also not seen hanging out with other people.
Or perhaps this is just how dedicated Rami Malek is to the series, a dedication that has handsomely paid off for the actor as well as the show. Malek got an Emmy this September while "Mr Robot" got two Golden Globe also this year, reports Variety. At the moment, USA Network is yet to announce a "Mr Robot" Season 3 air date, but maintains that it will definitely premiere by 2017. However, most speculation predict a July 2017 release given that season 1 premiered on the month of July while the second season launched on an August.
