Nintendo Switch Release Date, Games, Specs, Price, News & Update: New Titles Confirmed Coming To New Console! More Details Revealed

With the coming Nintendo Switch release date which is expected to happen early next year, Nintendo plans to challenge head on well-established rivals Sony and Microsoft in the lucrative console market. Of course, to be able to effectively shake up the console scene, the new console must be competitive. Here are some of the speculations and details about the Nintendo Switch games, prices and specs.

Nintendo Switch Release Date

For now, the company has not officially released a statement regarding the Nintendo Switch release date, other than the assurance that the newest console from Nintendo will definitely be out by March 2017. However, gaming insiders expect that the actual date will be revealed soon.

The actual Nintendo Switch release date is expected to be announced in an event to be held in Tokyo, Japan this coming January 13, 2017, reports PC Advisor. However, twitter might have already caught on early with a post by user Laura Kate Dale claiming to have inside info that states the console would be on sale by March 17, 2017 and a world wide Nintendo Switch release date is set to follow within a week.

And of course comes the ever important topic of pricing. As usual, Nintendo preferred to keep mum on the issue perhaps opting for a Nintendo Switch price reveal as the actual release date nears.

However, that is not stopping leaks from popping up everywhere. In fact, earlier leaks suggested a highly priced console placed at £349 or around $440 until it eventually fell to £300 / $378, with a £399 / $500 estimate for a bundle. Of course, the final say on the Nintendo Switch price is its maker but Nintendo is yet to make an official announcement.

Nintendo Switch Games

Being the company's flagship console, one can expect the Nintendo Switch games lineup to be extensive. The latest inclusion to the enviable list are GameCube games which are now confirmed to be coming to the console according to an Engadget report.

The GameCube games will join other title of the already extensive Nintendo Switch games lineup which include "Super Smash Bros Melee," "Luigi's Mansion" and "Mario Sunshine." Other titles include "Dragon Quest X and XI," "The Legend of Zelda: Breathe of the Wild," "Just Dance 2017," "Nobunaga's Ambition" and "RISE: Race the Future" to name a few.
