“British Fashion Awards” took place on December 5, in Royal Albert Hall, London, with more than 4,000 guests, David Beckham, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss and Gigi Hadid among them.
Gigi Hadid is living her dream, not only she got to walk on Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show again, but she got to do it with her sister Bella, and her best friend Kendall Jenner, and because of her success, she won the International Model Of The Year Award.
According to The Telegraph, both Gigi and Bella Hadid were nominated in the International Model Of The Year category, but the older sister, Gigi won. Gigi’s eyes filled with tears when she was collecting her award on the stage.This year she showed real power on the catwalk, walking down the Bottega Veneta runway hand in hand with Lauren Hutton in Milan Fashion Week as well as her see-now-buy-now collection for Tommy Hilfiger was one of her greatest success.
After Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Gigi and her mother Yolanda who is a former model worth $54 million and a star of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” headed to the 2016 Fashion Awards, but Bella was nowhere to be seen. In 2013, after leaving high school, Gigi moved to New York and signed a contract with IMG Models. In 2015, she appeared in the Pirelli calendar and was named Maybelline brand ambassador. Her sister, Bella Hadid followed her footsteps and on December 5, they both were nominated for International Model of the Year.
According to Vogue, other nominated models for International Model were, Adwoa Aboah, Bella Hadid, Kendal Jenner and Lineisy Montero. Gigi Hadid has succesfully stood out on top. After receiving this award, more and more brands will definitely take notice of Gigi Hadid.
According to Hollywood Reporter, Willow and Jaden Smith were also honored with the New Fashion Icons title. It was a big night for Gucci: Creative director Alessandra Michele also when she received the International Accessories Designer Award, while CEO Marco Bizzari won the International Business Leader prize.
