'Battlefield 1' Latest News & Updates: Giant's Shadow DLC And New Weapon Revealed In Fresh Trailer!

"Battlefield 1" is on a roll in the first couple of months it's been out, proving to be a very popular period first-person shooter. The huge scale of the game's maps and the diversity of the different classes players can play as makes it one of the most fun team shooters to come out in recent memory, along with Blizzard's "Overwatch."

A new trailer just released today reveals a brand new map and weapon coming to "Battlefield 1" pretty soon. The new DLC is bringing the previously-announced Giant's Shadow map to the game, which is based on the real-life Battle of the Selle that happened in France back in 1918. The Behemoth in this map will be the armored train, GameSpot reports, while players can use planes and horses to get around. If you're wondering why the map is called the Giant's Shadow, it may have something to do with the zeppelin wreck that can also be seen somewhere on the map.

The new "Battlefield 1" DLC's weapon is a grenade launcher crossbow, which most likely didn't exist back in World War 1, but seems like a cool idea nonetheless. The Giant's Shadow DLC isn't coming until December 13 at the earliest for those with Battlefield Premium access, while everyone else gets it for free on December 20.

EA has also come out with a new custom game mode for "Battlefield 1," called Line of Sight. It's a Rush Suez Canal map where the only classes available to players are the Medic and Scout. The Scouts deal extra gun damage, which makes Medics extremely valuable as they will need to keep everyone alive. "Battlefield 1" developer DICE is certainly busy keeping everyone satisfied with the game, supporting it on a level seen only with Blizzard for "Overwatch" and Valve for "Dota 2."
