New ''Shadowhunters' Season 2 'Love Conquers War' Teaser Questions If Jace is a Traitor

New ''Shadowhunters' Season 2 'Love Conquers War' Teaser Questions If Jace is a Traitor

Freeform has released a new teaser for the upcoming episodes in the "Shadowhunters" Season 2 ahead of its premiere on Jan. 2, 2017. The video, "Love Conquers All," shows the Shadowhunters questioning themselves if Jace Wayland is a traitor.

The show's official Instagram page shared the teaser, which opens with a few scenes from "Shadowhunters" Season 2. There is a quick shot at Isabelle and Victor seemingly getting intimate with each other. There is also a scene with Alec and Magnus, talking about something serious. Then the teaser switches to reveal Simon asking Luke if Jace Wayland is a traitor.

"So do you think it's true, what they're saying about Jace?" Simon asks Luke in the video below.

Alec does not believe one bit that his Parabatai is a traitor. He also does not want to give up on finding Jace, even though his mother discourages him to save Jace.

The "Shadowhunters" Season 2 teaser then shows Clary Fairchild rescuing Jace on her own. She is seen talking to Jace, who Valentine locked up in a cell. Jace warns Clary to leave him or else she might get hurt. Clary is determined to help him and is confident that the Shadowunters can defeat Valentine's men.

The "Love Conquers War" teaser for the "Shadowhunters" Season 2 clearly proves that with love anything is possible. Alec knows in his heart that Jace is not evil. Clary believes that Jace still has goodness inside him, even though Valentine pushes him to be evil.

It makes sense for the Shadow World to doubt Jace's loyalties. After all, he decided to join Valentine in the Season 1 Finale. The full trailer for the "Shadowhunters" Season 2 also showed Jace going down a dark path. He is doing terrible things for Valentine. The Clave must have heard about these horrible things, which prompts them to brand him as a traitor.
