The recently released trailer of "XXX: Return of Xander Cage" has given the first look at the new characters. The movie will be the third installment in the XXX franchise and will be released on Jan. 20, 2017.
The trailer has promised some intense action and high-octane pace. The plot of the film revolves around Xander Cage, portrayed by Vin Diesel. He is an extreme sports enthusiast who turns into a government operative. Nina Dobrev, Ruby Rose, and Deepika Padukone are some new faces in the franchise. The recent trailer gives a look at them.
Ruby Rose will be playing the character, Adele Wolf. Nina Dobrev will play the role of Rebecca and Deepika Padukone will be seen as Serena Unger. Moreover, Toni Colette will be starred as Jane Mark. In the movie Xander Cage is back but this time with a gang of adventurous companions. The film also stars Donnie Yen, Rory McCann, Tony Jaa, Danny Wu and Ariadna Gutierrez.
The Filming of "XXX: Return of Xander Cage" started in January 2016 in several locations like the Dominican Republic, the Philippines, and Canada, as per Digital trends. The first trailer was released on Oct. 4 and the second was released on Nov. 2. The second trailer introduced the new characters to the fans. Nina Dobrev, Deepika Padukone and Ruby Rose made heads turn with their action-packed avatars.
The original film XXX came in 2002. Then came its sequel "XXX: State of the Union" in 2005. In the sequel, the central character Xander Cage died but with "XXX: Return of Xander Cage" he will be back with a bang. The project was uncertain for many years but in 2015 Vin Diesel confirmed that the third installment will be there and Xander Cage will return with it.
The presence of martial art experts and new faces has given intriguing charm to the film. Donnie Yen and Toni Jaa's presence promises brilliant action. The plot will revolve once again around Xander Cage who will be hired for a dangerous mission against a gang of outlaws who plan to use highly destructive technology.
