Fallout 4 Rumors: TheSurvivor2299 Site Promises December Reveal, More Developments

Bethesda Revealing Fallout 4 in Early December? TheSurvivor2099 Site's Countdown Bumped Up

Whether it's confirmation that a new Fallout is coming, or the TheSurvivor2299 is all a big hoax, we'll find out in a mere six days and change. Going to the site now, visitors will find that the countdown has been moved up from its original date of December 12, to December 1. Why the change? It's unknown, but it's interesting that the date of the reveal is just days after the PlayStation4 hits Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, and the U.K. Additionally, the Vault-Tec logo is now included at the bottom of the page.

The site's undergone a number of other interesting changes in the last few days:

- On Friday, the phrase "Nuclear winter" was mentioned on the site as part of a new Morse code message that appeared. According IncGamers, when translated, the full message was, "Nuclear winter is coming. Reserve your future home today! Call 877-260-2299." Given the large amount of Fallout fans out there, the number was busy for a while, but according to fans who were able to get through, fans were greeted with the Tranquility Lane theme from Fallout 3, as well as more Morse code.

- The message "VT137-7042299-V119BST: PERMISSION DENIED BY OVERSEER," has also appeared.

- Another message appeared to other users, reading, "ZL QRNE FVFGRE. V'Z URNQVAT GB GUR VAFGVGHGR. TBQ XABJF JUNG UNCCRARQ GB GUVF CYNPR ABJ. GUVF BYQ ONFGNEQ JVYY URYC HF. UR ZHFG URYC HF. --0321--." Using ROT13, a Reddit user managed to translate the message as "MY DEAR SISTER. I'M HEADING TO THE INSTITUTE. GOD KNOWS WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS PLACE NOW. THIS OLD BASTARD WILL HELP US. HE MUST HELP US. --0321--" Like the Massachusetts references found in the source code when the site first launched, this is another reference to M.I.T, or, as it's known in the world of Fallout, the Institute.

- Moving away from the site for a moment, some serious sleuths went to the full nine thanks with a WhoIs search, and it's about the closest thing to a confirmation until Bethesda finally decided to open its mouth.

Reddior fiberkanin happened upon the email wojciechperez@gmail.com from the domain tools of a WhoIs search. While doing a google image search on the name, it led to a Google Plus profile (which has since been taken down) revealing that one Mr. Wojciech Perez works for AKQA, "an ideas and innovation company that specializes in creating digital services and products." Read - PR and marketing.

In addition to some fairly illustrious companies like Heineken, Audi, Nike, Delta, and others, the company was also responsible for the advertising of two Bethesda IPs: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and Fallout 3

Bethesda's mouthpiece Pete Hines has kept mum on the site, and this connection, so it's difficult to get too excited. But with all the rumors, sleuthing, and Betheda's Fallout 4 trademarking overseas, it's a very interesting time to be a Fallout fan.
