'God of War' Release Date, News & Update: Delay Possibly Due to Development Issues, Manpower Lack; MoCap Almost Done?

"God of War" is one title that shocked so many fans upon announcement, however, the question on so many players' minds involves the release date. That being said, the reasons as to why it takes so long is bound to be divulged for the many.

The PlayStation exclusive "God of War" showed fans a glimpse of itself during the course of months post its announcement. With the recent clip published, fans saw the continuity of Kratos' journey despite the speculations of him no longer being the protagonist. As exciting as this may be, fans are not informed quite enough on the launch date for the game in which Santa Monica Studios may be reasoning out to.

Recent reports say that Santa Monica Studios is closing in on the conclusion of their motion capture work for "God of War." This was confirmed by Cory Barlog, the game's director, who in this case has not spoken much on what else is being planned. Other reports say that "God of War" may still take a while due to lack of man power for the team-but this was immediately debunked by Santa Monica Studios. Even with the post containing their need for more staff to work on the title, it was said that it was not the reason behind their delay.

Speculations say that "God of War" is still being worked on, done by the same team under Barlog. Sadly, the most disappointing attribute thus far is the lack of multiplayer for the game, despite the display of Kratos' son in the picture. Regardless, many are still engaged in the said title's existence, especially with the diversity of the story going into Norse mythology.

What do you think causes the delay for "God of War?" Keep posted for more news and updates here at GamenGuide as the Santa Monica Studios title slowly inches forward.
