Karasuno has miraculously won over a devastated Shiratorizawa. With the shocking upset during the last minutes of the game in the final episode of season 3, new reports are now hinting the return of "Haikyuu!!" for a fourth season.
Production I.G has not yet confirmed that "Haikyuu!!" season 4 is really underway. However, there are speculations that the final episode of season 3 already dropped hints about the new season. It is said that "Haikyuu!!' season 4 will now focus on Karasuno High's arduous preparations for the National Playoffs.
The last scene of "Haikyuu!!" season 3 showed Tobio getting an invite for the National Youth Intensive Training Camp though it did not reveal if he will attend the training. Tobio Kageyama is one of the most reliable Karasuno High athletes and it's not a surprise that he was invited by a popular organization to join the camp. It is speculated that Tobio's training will also be featured in "Haikyuu!!" season 4.
Spoilers for "Haikyuu!!" season 4 also reveal that the training for the National competitions will not be easy for Karasuno High. There will allegedly be some issues within the team including differences in gameplan ideas and potentially some problems with jealousy over the coach's decision in terms of which players should be the starters.
Another problem that could possibly be tackled in "Haikyuu!!" season 4 is Tobio's absence if he decides to train away from his friends. This could cause chaos in the team that relies largely on Tobio's setting skills.
Meanwhile, Production I.G has yet to make official announcements about the release of "Haikyuu!!" season 4. It is widely speculated that the new installment will arrive next year. A 2017 release may be reasonable if the development team is trying to keep the excitement of fans intact.
