In the past week of December, Android Nougat 7.0 update has been a log-rolling issue for Moto G4 and G4 Plus users as the devices' update is not yet available. Other devices aside from Moto G devices have already received the Android Nougat 7.0 update. To name some are Moto Z's alleged new model the Moto Z and Moto Z Force Edition.
Because of this users are now waiting and craving for Android Nougat 7.0 update. The company owned by Lenovo has promised a fourth quarter release but to no avail.
It can be remembered that GameNGuide's previous report states that Motorola will likely to release a new batch of Moto G models. It was reported because of leaked-mobile pictures. These pictures are claimed by reports as Moto G5 and G5 Plus.

Furthermore, the images revealed its key specifications. It shows a full HD 5.5inch display on both Moto devices along with a 5- megapixel front camera and below the phones screen is a shaped fingerprint scanner.
It also shows that G5 Plus and Moto G5 will be powered by single Octa-core processors. The differences between Moto G5 and G5 Plus dwell mainly on camera and storage options. It has a 13-megapixel and 16 GB for G5 and a 16-megapixel and 16/32 GB for G5 Plus. It also has 7.0 Android Nougat with a possibility to get an update of Android 7.1 Nougat Update.
Since the reports claiming that Lenovo-owned Company is likely to release Moto G5 and G5 Plus, stores are now offering Moto G4 deep discounts. In fact, Phone Arena has confirmed such holiday sale on Moto G4 models. It offers up to 40% discount on the said model this Holiday season.
Does the offering of deep discounts for Moto G4 models suggest that Android Nougat 7.0 update is coming soon? Or does it mean that Moto G4 and G4 Plus will not be getting its update that's why stores are getting rid of these models?
