"Secrets and Lies" season 2 just closed with an intense cliffhanger and now fans are wondering what's going to happen next in season 3 especially since a lot of revelations surfaced. The series basically left with so many questions and the viewers are dying to get some answers. But will they be able to get the closure that they need from the show?
Reports revealed that "Secrets and Lies" has not been renewed for season 3 yet and the speculated reason is because of poor ratings. It seems like the season 2 finale didn't catch that much attention when it aired as it ranked only fourth in viewership. It's also mentioned that the series garnered 0.7 in rating only and reviews in general of the show have not been good lately.
But since nothing has been confirmed or announced yet, "Secrets and Lies" remains to be in the running for a third installment. Executive producer Barbie Kligman divulged few details to the series' season 2 finale as well as to what viewers can expect in the potential season 3. As revealed in the finale episode titled "The Truth," Kate Warner (Jordana Brewster) was accidentally killed by Amanda Warner (Mekia Cox).
Fans of "Secrets and Lies" were all shocked with the bombshell but several agreed that the last episode was very well played. Amanda killed Kate out of jealousy because the former found out that the latter easily got pregnant. It was a struggle for Amanda especially since she has infertility issues and it became the reason why her marriage failed. But she is bound to regret her actions in season 3 because she later found out that she is also pregnant.
Kligman teased though that it's not all done with the Warners yet. She said that the Warner family can still patch things up despite what happened. "I see the hope through Eric and Patrick, and through Eric and Charlie, Kate's son," Kligman said. "Secrets and Lies" spoilers also suggest that Detective Andrea Cornell (Juliette Lewis) could be the next victim. The show ended with Cornell and her daughter together when an unknown person shot a gun. It's not revealed who is killed so fans will have to stay tuned.
