'The Walking Dead' Season 7 News And Spoilers: Rick And Female Warriors Kill Negan?

"The Walking Dead" Season 7 has been on a killing spree ever since its premiere. Negan killed and then killed some more. The group is also separated into different places all year. It's truly a grim season. But with how the midseason finale went, can fans expect for things to look up soon?

After Negan came to Alexandria and killed Olivia and Spencer, Rick has finally decided that things should change and fast. He had has enough of Negan's ways and thought finally, that he should fight back against the Saviors already. This might be what fans have been waiting for since The Walking Dead Season 7 started.

On the midseason finale, Rick took the Alexandria group to Hilltop. There, they reunited with Maggie and Sasha. They also reunited with Daryl, fresh from his escape from the Sanctuary. With the "good guys" reunited, can fans finally have hope?

It can be recalled that the last time the group was together was still back at "The Walking Dead" Season 7 premiere. But they were very down at the time, facing the brunt of Negan's power. They were introduced to Lucille, which killed Glenn and Abraham.

Now that they are back together and feeling the rage inside, empowered to take back control from Negan, fans of the show cannot help but feel psyched that the next episodes will not be as depressing to watch. Rick is also reunited with his gun, so this is another boon for the viewers rooting for him.

It is hoped that their reunion will not end in nothing. Fans hope that next time someone dies, it will be Negan already. The group has reunited so the next best thing they could do now is to plot Negan's downfall. If successful, Negan's demise will be such a relief.

Killing off Negan will not be easy. "The Walking Dead" Season 7 will not feature Negan as someone this powerful only to die off easily. Right now, the most logical thing to do is for the group to get Carol and Morgan join the plot being brewed, Screener TV reported. The Kingdom joining in will certainly be a serious threat to Negan.

Another thing they can consider is to ask help from Oceanside's fierce female warriors. Tara encountered them before so she needs to tap into this experience and ask for their help.

Whether fans will see Negan dying before Season 7 ends is questionable however, unless actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan lied. The actor confirmed with Cinema Blend that Negan will be around as long as The Walking Dead Season 8.This means that fans still have to saddle up with the hateful character for quite some time more. At least now, they know that Rick and his group are already fighting back and Negan's killing spree can be thwarted bit by bit until he is the one to vanish.

"The Walking Dead" is coming back on Sunday, Feb. 12, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC.
