Want to know How the Saints Save Christmas? The second and final mission pack for Saints Row IV is currently available for download for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Yippie ki yay.

They have to be really pressured to save Christmas, apparently. Like most rational adults the Boss character you control hates Santa Claus and doesn't want to be bothered trying to save him, even though the most famous pagan God is currently being menaced by the evil alien overlord Zinyak. Yes that's right, Zinyak is back from the main game to terrorize the Saints once again, and indeed to ruin Christmas. You won't just be faced with Zinyak, because as the launch trailer below shows you'll fight plenty of seasonal enemies like gingerbread men and nutcrackers, all the while wearing a terrible Christmas sweater and singing carols. Expect the same irreverent humor you'll find in the main game, with decapitated reindeer, giant bombs with cheerful Christmas messages on them, and of course, narration in the vein of Jane Austen. Yeah.

If you play through all of The Saints Save Christmas you can unlock new weapons like the Red Rider BB Gun, North Pole, and the Christmas Dubstep Gun (JINGLE WUB), as well as nab Santa's Sleigh and Flying Reindeer to fly around on. Check here for a full list of achievements from the DLC.

The official word-

"Experience a Christmas story, told the Saints style! Santa is trapped inside the simulation, but the Scrooge-like boss of the Third Street Saints can't muster enough festive spirit to save him. Can the Saints help the boss discover the true meaning of the season in time? Jump on Santa's Sleigh, wield the North Pole and bring back holiday cheer to everyone!

A holiday classic for the whole family!"

The DLC costs $6.99 / EUR 6,99 / £5,99 or is available to owners of the Saints Row IV season pass. This is the second of two DLCs that you can get with the $9.99 Season Pass (the first DLC, Enter the Dominatrix, hit back in October.) so it's a bargain if you plan on picking up both.

As for now, get ready to deck those halls.
