HTC 11 Release Date, Specs, News & Update: Could Be The Phone Of The Year in 2017; To Feature 8 GB of RAM? More Features Revealed

Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC gained lots of attention because of their best handset yet, the HTC 10. But the brand isn't stepping on the brakes anytime soon as reports suggest that they will be releasing their next flagship dubbed HTC 11.

According to reports, the HTC 11 is expected to carry impressive specs and features that are even going to be better than the ones found in its predecessor. With that being said, the HTC 11 could be the phone of the year in 2017. It's said that there are going to be significant changes in both the hardware and software of the purported device.

Latest leaks suggest that the HTC 11 will be sporting a 5.5-inch QHD display, which is a slight upgrade from the 5.2-inch display of the HTC 10. The resolutions remain the same, though. It's also said that the device will come with Qualcomm's unreleased processor Snapdragon 835, which was just announced last November. Reports say that the new processor is made up of a highly efficient 10nm manufacturing process, making it significantly faster and more powerful.

The HTC 11 is also rumored to carry 8 GB of RAM, which seems a lot considering the biggest so far that has been offered in a phone is 6 GB of RAM. But it's also not impossible for HTC to go further especially since the competition in the smartphone industry is very high. Leaks also say that the HTC 11 will have an internal storage space of 256 GB.

Other reported specs and features of the purported HTC 11 include a 12-megapixel dual primary camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. The reported battery is 3,700mAh with Quick Charge 4.0 feature. It's also expected to be pre-installed with the Android 7.0 Nougat. As for the price, the HTC 11 is estimated to be around $633 to $760.

As of now, nothing has been confirmed yet about the HTC 11 so it's best to take reports with a grain of salt. But since the device is predicted to launch during the Mobile World Congress, updates are expected to surface soon.
