Here’s a special treat from Rockstar Games for all you GTA fanboys out there. As reported back in November Rockstar Games was working on a mobile port for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and it's now available on Apple's iOS.

Accordingly, a post followed on the same via Rockstar’s newswire claiming that San Andreas is slated to hit "select" Android, Kindle, and Windows Mobile devices sometime this December.

"Before GTAV took us to the sun-bleached sidewalks and humming concrete freeways of present-day Los Santos and beyond, there was Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the biggest GTA of the PS2 era. Now, head back to the early 90s with CJ and the Grove Street Families when Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas comes to mobile devices next month,” the post stated.

“Encompassing Los Santos, San Fierro, Las Venturas and everything in between, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has been upgraded for its mobile release. Newly remastered graphics including dynamic and detailed shadows, greater draw distance, an enriched color palette, plus enhanced character and car models make this the best-looking version of San Andreas yet."

However, heading back to the main topic, the new game is basically the original San Andreas title that arrived back in 2004. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for iOS features remastered and high-resolution graphics that has been built specifically for mobile, including lighting enhancements, an enriched color palette and improved character models.

Also, players on iPhone 5 and 4th Gen iPad are in for a treat since Rockstar will offer an enhanced game that features dynamic detailed shadows and real-time environmental reflections. Similar to other Rockstar games released for iOS before this, GTA: San Andreas has been redesigned to incorporate touch controls, while also offering support for iOS 7 game controllers.

Other in-game features for the new mobile port include cloud save support “for playing across all your iOS devices for Rockstar Social Club Members,” dual analog stick controls for full camera and movement control and three different control schemes and customizable controls “with contextual options to display buttons only when you need them.”

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is currently available for download from the App Store and has been priced at $6.99.
