With the impending birth of Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) and Howard's (Simon Helberg) baby, viewers can expect to see comedic and touching moments in "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 episode 11. Latest spoiler news also revealed the baby's name and the showrunner's decision to focus on other details aside from the birth scene.
A new member to the Wolowitz family will soon make an appearance in "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10. Bernadette and Howard are set to welcome their daughter in the CBS show's upcoming episode 11 titled "The Birthday Synchronicity."
Viewers hoping to see Bernadette's ordeal inside the delivery room or Howard's reaction while his wife gives birth will be disappointed with the latest news. Showrunner Steven Molaro shared in an interview with Variety that he and the show's writing team decided to forego the said scene which has been depicted in various different ways over the years.
The upcoming "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 episode 11 will instead feature the events leading to the birth, as well as the reactions of beloved characters once Bernadette and Howard show off their newborn daughter.
One of the said episode's plotlines will also tackle how the baby will potentially impact the dynamics between the couple and their friends. However, Molaro teased Bernadette and Howard will still be able to do some of the things that they enjoyed prior the baby's arrival given the assistance of close friends Raj (Kunal Nayyar), Stuart (Kevin Sussman), Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Penny (Kaley Cuoco), Amy (Mayim Bialik) and Sheldon (Jim Parsons).
The "Big Bang Theory showrunner added, "We view (the baby) as another opportunity to grow our universe and find more stories that allow these characters to grow. We don't see it as a giant DNA-changing event in what 'The Big Bang Theory' is."
Meanwhile, episode spoilers posted on "The Big Bang Theory" spoiler site unveiled the name of Bernadette and Howard's baby. Included in the description for episode 12, the baby's name was revealed to be Hallie. "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 episode 11 will air on Dec. 15, Thursday, on CBS. Watch the teaser below:
