Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to receive an upgrade in 2017. The new Surface Pro is reported to come with more RAM, more storage and Intel Kaby Lake processors, which bring more reasons for the fans to be excited in the coming new year.
According to reports, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will come with 512GB of storage space, better performance and battery life compared to its predecessor. An upgraded Surface Pen stylus will also be included, along with wireless charging capabilities via the magnetic dock.
Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is also expected to have other upgrades such as the Thunderbolt 3 support and USB Type-C ports. Although Microsoft has not confirmed any of the reported features, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is believed to get a better display as well as a fingerprint sensor on the screen. Moreover, the new laptop is also rumored to run Windows 10 Redstone 3 out of the box.
Meantime, given the fact that the Surface Pro has been compared to the MacBook Air and iPad, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is likely the MacBook Pro rival that the fans were looking for. That being said, sharing the same specs between the Surface Pro 5 and Surface Book 2 is believed to make Windows 10 fans become more excited. The new laptop is expected to launch in Spring of 2017, BGR reported.
Meanwhile, there are speculations regarding the reason why the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 was not unveiled this year, claiming that the reigning Surface Pro 4 is doing well at the time the Surface Pro 5 was supposed to unveil.
