'Madam Secretary' Season 3 Spoilers, Cast Updates, & News: Episode 9 Sees Death of Major Character?

Dakin Matthews' American Ambassador Roy will be killed in the next episode of "Madam Secretary" Season 3. Aside from that, CBS Television Network has finally released the official plot description and a promo clip of episode 9 'Snap Back'. While a quick rundown of episode 8 'Breakout Capacity' is highlighted here for fans who have missed to watch it.

Series regular Dakin Matthews will officially exit "Madam Secretary" Season 3. The 76-year-old American actor will be killed off in the series. However, no details and information have been stated about his reason to leave.Matthews portrays the role of American Ambassador Roy Curtis.

As for the official plot description of episode 9, a source notes, "As the U.N. Security Council considers reinstating sanctions against Iran for its suspected nuclear plans. Because of that, U.S. Secretary Elizabeth McCord (Tea Leoni) tries to stop Israel from taking matters into its own hands when it threatens military action to combat the Iranians.

Also, White House Chief of Staff Russell Jackson (Zeljko Ivanek) persuades Henry McCord (Tim Daly) to woo his old Air Force buddy, Congressman Jeff Pearson (Michael Cerveris), to vote for President Conrad Dalton (Keith Carradine) in the House's election day. While Stephanie 'Stevie' McCord (Wallis Currie-Wood) asks Russell for a recommendation to Harvard Law School."
