Selena Gomez Latest News & Update: Instagram’s Most Followed Star Is The New Face Of Coach; Worth $10 Million?

American actress and pop singer pop Selena Gomez is not only Instagram's most followed star with 104 million admirers but is now the new face and designer of the all-American heritage brand Coach. Gomez recently signed a huge $10 million deal.

The "Hotel Transylvania 3" star has maintained a relatively low profile in the last year. She took time off from her career to focus on her health and well-being but made a triumphant return to the red carpet at the American Music Awards last month to accept the Favorite Female Artist- Pop/Rock award.

Selena Gomez: A-List Star Turned Designer

Selena's personal style has developed over the past few years with certain help from stylists Christian Classen and Kate Young toward a minimal style to dressing. Gomez has also emerged in ads for Louis Vuitton. In 2010 she released her own apparel line via retailer K-Mart, Dream Out Loud by Selena Gomez; two fragrances: Selena Gomez by Selena Gomez in 2012, and Vivamore by Selena Gomez in 2013.

That same year, Gomez made her personal collection of nail polish colors for Nicole by OPI. From 2013 to 2015, Selena was an envoy and partner for Neo by Adidas. However, the star's ticket into the A-list-star-turned-designer fray comes on the heels of news of celebrity-designed lines, from Alexa Chung's forthcoming label to Zayn's upcoming capsule with Versus Versace, writes Vogue.

Selena Gomez' Partnership With Luxury Fashion Brand, Coach

With 24-year-old Selena Gomez conquering the carpets and honing her street style, she was spotted in Coach's vintage-inspired car tee and Rogue rocket bag last week, it appears as though the multi-awarded star may have the recipe to up some flash to her many aficionados' wardrobes too.

Partnerships and commercial ventures with celebrities and brands are common in the retail industry, as the brand often draws in a wider audience and the star is often paid handsomely for his or her own stellar influence. Shelling out millions for a young star's face might seem unconventional, perhaps even unreasonable -- but it obviously pays off for many brands, says Yahoo Style.
