Cuisinart’s Food Processor News: Eight Million Cuisinart Food Processors Are Recalled Due To Reported Blade Issues & Mouth Injuries

When it comes to kitchen accessories and small appliances, Cuisinart is one of the most trusted names that you can find. However, the manufacturer is now facing a major issue about their food processor appliances due to some reported accidents.

Blade's broken pieces that usually found together with the freshly processed food is the major problem in Cuisinart's food processor. According to Conair, the owner of Cuisinart manufacture, they had received no less than 69 reports from their consumers discovering pieces of sharp metal in their food. Together with that, there were 30 reports of mouth injuries.

Due to these recent accidents, Conair and U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced last Tuesday that there will be a recall for eight million Cuisinart's food processors in America. About 300,000 food processors are also affected in Canada.

With the said numbers of food processors, 22 Cuisinart models will be part of the recalling iterations. Each model has similar features; blades with four rivets, silver-colored stainless steel, and beige plastic center hub. However, two dozens of different models were all made in China and sold from July 19960 up to December 2015. These models were cost between $100 and $350.

These are the list of affected Cuisinart's model numbers which can be found at the bottom of the food processors: CFP-9, CFP-11, DFP-7, DFP-11, DFP-14, DLC-5, DLC-7, DLC-8, DLC-10, DLC-XP, DLC-2007, DLC-2009, DLC-2011, DLC-2014, DLC-3011, DLC-3014, EV-7, EV-10, EV-11, EV-14, KFP-7, and MP-14.

If you have found that your food processor model was included on the list, stop using it to avoid accidents. You may call and ask for a replacement at the Cuisinart's number, 877-339-2534 or just simply go to their website, https://www.cuisinart.com/ for more information regarding the voluntary recall. U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission or CPSC is urging all the consumers to act immediately to lessen the number of reported accidents on the said food processor's models.
