While the eighth season of "Real Housewives of New York" has yet to air, news about the city's hottest socialites continue to circle the web. For one, BFFs Luann de Lesseps and Dorinda Medley are set to be married to their respective fiances, and Bethenny Frankel is now set to host her own reality TV show. But "Real Housewives of New York" Season 8 could greatly benefit from a newcomer: socialite Tinsley Mortimer, who has her own skeletons in her closet she wishes to get rid of. Newcomer on RHONY Season 8
RHONY is well-known for its ultra-rich socialites whose lives are rife with drama. So even if Tinsley Mortimer is a relative no-name in comparison with Skinnygirl empress Bethenny Frankel or Countess Luann de Lesseps, she has her own fair share of drama behind her blonde locks and blue eyes just like them. It comes as no surprise, therefore, if she falls in quickly with the rest of the "Real Housewives of New York" Season 8 cast.
But who exactly is Tinsley Mortimer? Like the rest of her "Real Housewives of New York" Season 8 costars, she's one of New York's social butterflies, who was formerly married to Topher Mortimer. But in true RHONY fashion, she came onto the scene after a scandalous relationship with Alejandro "Nick" Fanjul.
And the couple's relationship has been anything less than colorful. Tinsley Mortimer claimed that Nick Fanjul had been abusive toward her. Fanjul's mom meanwhile claimed that she was "insane." Given her high-drama history, clearly Tinsley Mortimer will be able to bring something to the "Real Housewives of New York" Season 8 table, according to RealityTea.

Apparently, however, Tinsley Mortimer is looking to rebrand her name, according to Page Six. That's the primary reason she joined RHONY Season 8's cast.
