"Clash of Clans" posted a tease on Twitter saying that Winter is Coming! To fans dying to hear news about the December 2016 Update, that phrase is a harbinger of hope. With the December patch launch date confirmed, speculations regarding the new features and VR feature came like a blizzard.

Winter Is Coming! "Clash of Clans" Tweets Sneak Peak!

The fan site All Clash reported the confirmation of the December 2016 Update which will roll out just days before Christmas. This time Supercell used the official Twitter account of "Clash of Clans" to announce that the December Patch is almost here, hence "Winter Is Coming."

At first glance, the photo itself is unremarkable. Further scrutiny reveals that the Town Hall is of an entirely new design. Fans speculate that the changes in aesthetic features of the Town Hall are in line with the new features to be introduced in the December 2016 Update.

New Features To Include New Game Play And New Game Mode?

Jobs & Hire reported that December 2016 Update will introduce a new game play or a new game mode to "Clash of Clans." Gamers are speculating that the game play or game mode will either be the Wizard-Vs-Goblin Battle feature, the Shipyard Feature, or both. Also reported coming with the December patch are major tweaks in balancing of Clan Wars matchmaking.

Possible Inclusion of Virtual Reality (VR) Feature To "Clash of Clans" In The December 2016 Update

From a marketing standpoint, introducing a virtual reality (VR) feature to the "Clash of Clans" helps in luring players back. The closest competitor of "Clash of Clans" in mobile gaming industry is "Pokemon GO" and it is already running on an augmented-reality platform. Adding a VR feature in "Clash of Clans" not only makes sense in keeping pace with "Pokemon GO," but will also allow Supercell to funnel in more cash flow.

Other Features: "Clash Royale" Characters To Be Introduced In December 2016 Update? Fans Speculate!

According to iDigital Times, Supercell hinted that "Clash Royale" characters are going to be introduced to "Clash of Clans" in the December 2016 Update. The report also mentions that a Supercell staff recently confirmed that "Clash Royale" troops will eventually crossover to "Clash of Clans." Fans theorize that the most likely troops to appear in "Clash of Clans" are the Ice Wizard, Lumberjack, and mini PEKKA.
