Is The Originals Season 4 its last? While fans are starting to lament the fact that the season will really have only 13 episodes, they are also starting to worry that the 13th episode is actually the series' last! Will there be The Originals Season 5?
Recently, Michelle Paradise and Michael Narducci took to Twitter to announce that they are wrapping up The Originals season 4. They did not say anything about Season 5, but the photo uploaded told everything fans need to know about Season 4 - it is really ending with 13 episodes. No more episodes will be made it seems, contrary to what most fans are hoping for.
Even though it was already reported that the The Vampire Diaries spinoff will only have 13 episodes, some fans did not believe it. On December 7, Paradise announced that filming for the 12th episode is done. At the time, fans were still hoping that this does not mean the team will be moving on to filming the last episode for the season.

But Micahel Narducci's Twitter post ruined all hopes. He posted a photo announcing Season 4's wrap party and with this, everyone knows already that no more new episodes can be expected for the season. As they feel disappointed, some cannot help but express their hope that there is a Season 5.

However, there are no official news if the show will pick up for another season. Rumors have it that if it does, it will no longer be under CW. Instead, it will already transfer to ABC or Netflix, as reported by Parent Herald.
The Originals" Season 4 air date is already set for March 17, 2017 at 9 p.m. PT on The CW. Will this be the series' last season after all?
