‘EarthNight’ Release Date, News & Update: Rich Siegel, Creator Of ‘EarthNight’, Is Close To Completing Indie Game

Success does not happen overnight, and that is what happened to Rich Siegel. Siegel is an independent game developer that has been working on his own title game called "EarthNight," a game that is about dragons and men.

Creating EarthNight

The game basically adopts the art by Paul Davey, with the username Mattahan in DeviantArt. Davey and Siegel collaborated in smaller projects such as BeardWars and PuppyWars apps. "EarthNight" was something that Paul Siegel wanted for Paul Davey to do. He also teamed up with musician Paul Weinstein, with the moniker Chipocrite, who creates the background music for the game.

Creating the game based on hand-painted artwork can be really hard. There will be many frames involved, and backgrounds to configure. However, Paul Siegel is dead set on finishing "EarthNIght" especially now that they are getting press attention as it has been featured at a few conventions as well as the PlayStation blog.

What is the game about?

The game has two protagonists with the names Sydney and Stanley. There is no news as to the plot of the game yet; however, basically it is about players riding on dragons' backs. "EarthNight" will have a huge collection of dragons that will change whenever you try to level up. Siegel explains that every dragon represents a level that has 125 ways of playing out.

Release Date?

Paul Siegel does not have a specific release date in mind. But, when he decided to sell his business and focused more on making the game, then most probably "EarthNight" will be released later next year. He also wants to have it on PlayStation 4, and VITA by late 2017,and in the later updates, in PC and Mac versions. Siegel wants to create a huge fanbase; a game will only be successful if more people play and have fun with it.
