Xbox One Problems: YouTube App Signs You Out if Someone Walks in With Different Profile

Xbox One's Newest Error Signs You Out of YouTube App if Someone Walks in With a Different Profile

Glitches come in all sorts and shapes these days with a number of weird problems that plague games and platforms equally until they are finally addressed by the Dev. And it seems like Microsoft’s recently released Xbox One is no different, in this respect, with an interesting glitch recently discovered for the same that signs out users from the YouTube app if someone else with a different profile enters the room where the console in presently situated.

Discovered recently by users, the issue was brought to light via concerned players on Reddit where fans discussed how the YouTube app “automatically signs you out and stops whatever you are doing if another person with a profile walks into the room,” and switches to the new person ‘s profile.

“If I am watching something on YouTube and my wife walks in the room, the second that the Xbox One signs her in YouTube signs me out of the App and whatever I am doing and kicks back to the YouTube launch page with my wife signed in instead,” user Skedoozy wrote.

“Is there a way to stop this from happening? This is by far the STUPIDEST default way for an app to behave I have see by far. To get back to my things I have to quit the app completely and relaunch it again,” he added.

As of now, there isn’t any real way that’s known to prevent this from happening, and it seems like the only choice thus far is to just shut down the app and then re-launch it again.

Interestingly enough, the problem is not limited to just one user but has been experienced across a number of other users as well. For instance, one user writes: “It is quite annoying. Happens to me all the time. It's gotten to where anytime I use Youtube and there are other people around that could walk past me at any moment I just cover the lens.”

Unfortunately it seems like the problem is not only limited to just the YouTube app in the console, but also stretches out to a few games as well.

User sightlysuperset wrote that, as far as the Xbox One is concerned, “I can promise you this is not only for youtube. This happened to me while playing Killer Instincts, it would sign someone in and take me back to the menu, so i assume its for a lot of games.”

“Or you can just turn off your Kinect or block the lens with something untill youtube gets an update,” he added.

It is yet to be seen if Microsoft takes a note of the problem and decides to do something about it. Only time will tell.
