"The Batman" of Ben Affleck may take a lot longer than what fans would imagine-and such is not a mere speculation. The multi-tasking star himself confirmed just where the movie stands at the moment, and by the look of it, the wait may be a rather extensive one.

Some fans may agree that Ben Affleck's rendition of the Dark Knight in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" was quite the exclamation point, as many opinions claim such as the best part of the film. His portrayal of the character earned him another bit of exposure care of "Suicide Squad," but the presumed most awaited big deal is "The Batman" which he will do almost everything in.

A recent interview revealed how Ben Affleck planned to deal with the upcoming "The Batman" standalone movie, wherein Affleck clarified that he will take time with the film. Affleck noted that he plans to get things such as screenplay in order first and not mess up how the movie fares-even saying that he shows full respect to the past people who did the predecessors. Naming Tim Burton, Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale, he said that he does not want to stain on the streak of great movies that came forth. He added that he does not want to ride the wagon on getting films done simply because of a deadline, but wishes to make the story as good as it can be before it airs.

Affleck admitted that he puts in time to do "The Batman" story along with other things, but despite such schedule, he wishes not to "reverse engineer" the movie. Such is speculated to be one of the reasons behind the extensive wait and the rather uncertain time as to when the movie will be out, despite the time line that Warner Bros. follows. Nonetheless, it is still a certainty that the standalone movie will happen-even if it may take over two years to surface.

"The Batman" will also star Joe Manganiello as Deathstroke, but as for the further casting, fans will have to be slightly more patient with the news. Keep it locked here at Gamenguide for future updates.
