Xbox One Update: Will ‘Upgrade Over Time’ With Improvements for Kiinect Voice Controls: Microsoft

Xbox One to ‘Upgrade Over Time’ With Future Improvements for Kinect Voice Controls, Promises Microsoft

Microsoft’s newest offering in an industry that’s more and more inclined toward a console-based future is the next generation Xbox One, and the company feels that that console will only get better with time with the system itself maturing with time. In a recent interview with Gamer Fit Nation, a Microsoft spokesperson discussed the newly released Xbox One with its evolved Kinect, while also stressing on how both of them will improve over time, as most consoles did in the years before.

On questioned about the pre-defined Xbox One commands that can be applied for a host of different tasks, and if the company is planning to implement any such command that will enable discs to eject from the system, the spokesperson stated:

“Voice command for ejecting discs is not a feature we’re supporting at this time. Xbox One launched with a comprehensive library of Kinect voice commands for the most commonly used voice commands.”

“We’re always listening and taking feedback from our customers, but don’t have any specifics to share at this time on future voice updates,” he added.

Additionally, on asked if and how the Kinect voice controls will improve over time, the spokesperson added that the company has “completely re-engineered Kinect to take full advantage of all that Xbox One can do. It’s more precise, more responsive, and more intuitive, and we plan to improve the experience in the future.”

“Additionally, we’re continuing to improve the voice models over time as we get more usage information from our customers.”

“The Xbox One will upgrade over time, as most consoles usually do. If Microsoft’s answers are any indication of what the future may hold for the Xbox One and its Kinect voice controls, it might be time that fans get their voices heard,” he concluded.

While Microsoft’s new Xbox One, it’s fair to say, has been doing well in terms of business since launch, it still has some way to go before it can tag itself as perfect in all aspects.

Only recently there was a certain issue reported regarding the console which revealed that Xbox One was leaking some sort of a liquid. And although it wasn’t that big a deal (since no real problems were reported), it’s not something that would miss the eye and could easily make an owner or two’s heart skip a beat.
