When “Suits” Season 6 returns from its hiatus, it is still not known if Mike (Patrick J. Adams) will still return to the firm or not. Meanwhile, due to her new relationship with Prince Harry, Meghan Markle is rumored to be leaving the show after the current season.
Mike turns down Harvey’s offer
In the midseason finale of “Suits” Season 6, Mike was offered a consultancy position if he wants to come back to the firm by Harvey (Gabriel Macht). Mike turned down the offer because he wants to stay committed to his promise to help people who need it the most after he got out of prison.
Staying true to his word
In an The Hollywood Reporter, Adams shared what to expect from his character with the return of “Suits” Season 6. He said that Mike is pretty adamant in his statements on how he felt he had wasted his time in helping rich people get even richer in his closing statement during his trial. Now that he free, he wants to stay true to what he said by using the opportunities that will be presented his way.
Picture says something else
Some promo photos released for “Suits” Season 6 confused the fans, however. Mike is seen wearing a suit and is seen snuggling with his fiancé, Rachel (Meghan Markle). It certainly runs contrary to Adams’ recent pronouncements about his character. It could also be that Mike is just visiting Rachel in the firm.
Meghan Markle not leaving, yet
Meanwhile, rumors are rife that given her new relationship with Prince Harry, Markle will be leaving the series. Showrunner Aaron Krosh however was quick to deny this by confirming that not one of the remaining cast will be leaving “Suits” Season 6 just yet. However, he added that he didn’t expect Gina Torres, who played Jessica Pearson in the series, to leave either but she did. The show returns with the second half of the season on January 25 on USA.
