The much anticipated cartoon show "Steven Universe" Season 4 has long been rumored to be eventually cancelled. However, with the ongoing Christmas season and the winter special episode of the show already aired, the regular shows are being held before returning to their normal schedule in January.
With this, fans could now breathe easier as "Steven Universe" Season 4 has clearly not been cancelled. The show has amassed a huge viewership, ranging from children to adults. Fans were first worried when "Steven Universe" Season 4 took a hiatus mid-season, with Cartoon Network not releasing any official word regarding the matter.
This then prompted many fans to believe that "Steven Universe" Season 4 is just on another hiatus, having properly aired their intended winter special. The latest episode, "Three Gems and a Baby," has been aired last December 1, which itself followed a two week break from "Gem Harvest." Once again, prior to "Gem Harvest," there was more than a month of hiatus for "Steven Universe" Season 4.
There have been numerous speculations regarding the eventual fate of "Steven Universe" Season 4. New leaks have suggested that the season would still be airing 17 more episodes before leaping into "Steven Universe" Season 5.
If this number of episodes is to be strictly followed, then fans could finally expect four episodes of "Steven Universe" Season 4 to air in January. There have now been speculations that the past of Rose Quartz would be explored in an episode. Another episode would then be tackling Pearl, which was revealed by the voice director of "Steven Universe" Season 4.
"Steven Universe" Season 4 rumors suggest that at least two of the Diamonds would once again appear on the show. There have been reports suggesting that the voice actor for Yellow Diamond has already been cast. "Steven Universe" Season 4 would also likely see Blue Diamond returning to Earth, but to what capacity is still unclear.
These news need to be taken with a grain of salt though. However, fans are still assured that "Steven Universe" Season 4 would definitely be returning next year.
