Call of Duty: Ghosts News - Info for Onslaught DLC Leaks, Out Later This Month for Xbox One First

GameStop Poster Has Call of Duty: Ghosts' First DLC Out January 28

It wasn't long ago Activision was trying to ramp up attention for Call of Duty: Ghosts' upcoming DLC by releasing a trailer for the game's Season Pass, but already it seems like there's been a blunder and we've been gifted with a bit more information on the game's first DLC ahead of time.

Twitter user SeriousSix2010 noticed a Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC poster at his local GameStop. Six later snapped the picture you see above, and here we are. If you can't make out the details, here's what the DLC pack has to offer:

Multiplayer Maps:
- Fog
- Ignition
- Containment
- Bayview

Bonus Weapon:
- Maverick AR & Sniper Rifle

Extinction:
- Episode 1: Nightfall

Despite that no formal information has been provided by Activision, the the poster looks legit enough, so I'd say it's on the up and up, especially with the "First on Xbox Live" at the poster's top. The CoD series has a habit of providing extra content as a timed exclusive (usually about 30 days or so) to Xbox platforms first.

No pricing details just yet, but I'm sure the DLC packs are free for Season Pass holders. According to that Pass, the next DLC will be Devestation, followed by Invasion, and finally, Nemesis. Additional content gained with the Pass include instant access to the map originally only offered as a pre-order bonus, Free Fall, and the Team Leader digital content pack, which "includes a unique MP character head" sporting the Ghost mask, weapon camo, reticle, player patch, player card and player background, all of which will be playable in-game upon purchase. For anyone who has the game on either PS3 or Xbox 360 and plans on upgrading to the next-gen systems, anyone who buys the pass by the end of May 2014, all the content comes with you to the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.

We'll keep you posted if Activision confirms what the poster is advertising.

Call of Duty: Ghosts takes place in a near future following an attack from space that leaves Los Angeles virtually wiped out, and the United States' infrastructure devastated. Years later, the country is invaded by a new superpower, a conglomerate of South American nations calling itself the "Federation." What's left of America's special forces have come together to form the titular "Ghosts," and it's up to them to wage guerrilla warfare against the Federation in order to protect what remains of the United States, and drive the Federation out.

Beyond the campaign, the game's multiplayer mode, which promises a slew of different customization options for weapons, character camos, and more. Over 30 new weapons are included alongside old favorites like the UMP45 and the M4A1.

Despite not the best reviews ever for a Call of Duty game, Ghosts was a hit right out of the gate. We learned recently thatGhosts is the most played multiplayer game in the world, and was also the top-selling game in November, the month when both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One released.
