'Xbox One' Latest News and Update: Microsoft Bringing 3D Sound Technology, Dolby Atmos

Dolby Atmos is an audio feature claiming to offer a more precise sound for users and it was currently announced that Xbox One now supports the said feature. The bespoke bit stream pass through feature is made available for Xbox One insiders as confirmed by Microsoft.  

Xbox One can support Dolby Atmos which is the first console ever to do so according to Gamespot. The Dolby Atmos will make the game richer while playing. With a Dolby Atmos supported speaker system or soundbar, players will be able to feel and hear the extent capabilities of the Dolby Atmos and works well with any headphones available.

Dolby Atmos can be tried out via Blu-ray player and will be available for both Xbox One and PC in 2017. This enables Xbox One to pass Blu-ray audio to user's audio equipment allowing the receiver experience high quality and immersive sound.

Perhaps, that makes it become a top requested feature of consoles. The option will however require users to have HDMI connection to attach it in a compatible audio receiver. There is no doubt about Microsoft stepping into another level when it comes to gaming quality. According to Segmentnext, Dolby Atmos can work on all kinds of headsets and speaker systems. It is likewise available for PS4 and PS4 Platinum wireless headset.

Some high quality headsets are also available on PC that support Dolby Atmos, but once it is connected to Xbox One, it will lose its feature. One of the games that have is supported by Dolby Atmos is "Battlefield 1" and it that runs on PC.

The surround option of Dolby Atmos is known in movie theatres. The date of release is not yet confirmed but one thing is for sure, having this will provide for a new experience for gamers all around the world because they may obtain more than just a sound on their gaming habits.
