It's a sad day for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners -- "The Walking Dead: A New Frontier" just got cancelled, Telltale Games announced itself. Telltale also announced that the PlayStation Vita versions of the game don't support the save import feature.

In a new post on Telltale's support website, no specific reason was given why versions for both platforms have been cancelled. "'The Walking Dead: A New Frontier'will not be available on PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 game consoles," it explained. "This includes digital and disc formats."

"The Walking Dead: A New Frontier" Save Import

A previous report on Gamenguide stipulates the announcement of Telltale Games' new save import feature, in which save files in an older device can be transferred to a newer console. Playing "The Walking Dead: A New Frontier" on a newer device only requires a Telltale Account on Telltale Cloud Saves. Once you've uploaded the game on the cloud, a download prompt will appear upon launching Season 3 on the new console, and then you can already start playing. The new announcement means players on PS Vita won't be able to import their games.

How To Continue Your Story On "The Walking Dead: A New Frontier"

Players who have no access to their previous save file but want their story continued in the new season have the option to do so. According to Telltale, you only need to choose Episodes on the main menu of "The Walking Dead: A New Frontier," select Continue Your Story, and then Recreate. Questions will be then be asked to determine how Season Two ended for you.

The full process on "The Walking Dead: A New Frontier" imports and recreation is available at Telltale Support. Do note that there are major spoilers for previous seasons on the website.

"The Walking Dead: A New Frontier" will launch December 20, 2016 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Mobile devices will also have two episodes. As for the Season Pass Disc, it will be available on February 2017.
