Call of Duty Ghosts Onslaught Trailer: They Are Going to CODnap You [VIDEO]

Call of Duty Ghosts Devs Want to Free You From Your Obligations

Usually when a game gets DLC you can expect a launch trailer at most, one that shows off some of the new features the add-on has to offer. But Call of Duty isn't most games. They're burnt through a little of the massive amounts of money that the game made (one billion, day one) and produced this slick live-action trailer for Call of Duty Ghosts: Onslaught that shows teams of soldiers kidnapping gamers from their boring, mundane lives. Real life just interferes, after all- why bother with responsibilities like spouses or work when there's games to be played?

It's a pretty silly concept for a trailer, of course, especially when they try to coin the awful term "CODnapping", which is the worst made-up word since "Driveatar", or "Levolution". Still, the trailer is helped immensely by the presence of Stephen Graham, who you might know from films like "Snatch" and "Gangs of New York". You probably shouldn't trust the man to kidnap you safely but at least you'll hear his awesome accent when he does.

It's not till the very end of the trailer when we're finally shown some of the game, including all of the new maps that Onslaught has to offer, as well as that utterly ridiculous and amazing Michael Myers skin that you can don.

Onslaught will arrive first on Xbox Live on January 28th, with other platforms arriving afterwards. This is just the first of four DLC packs planned for the game for 2014, the others being titled Devastation, Invasion and Nemesis- the names clearly focusing on the alien invasion portions of the DLC. Wait- aliens? In Call of Duty? Well they've had zombies before so why not? Included in the Onslaught DLC is the first installment in Extinction, a four-part episodic narrative that features a new weapon and two new alien species that you'll fight in the Alaskan Wilderness, one of which apparently stands three stories high.

Each of these DLC packs will be priced at $15 or you can just pick up the season pass for $49.99 and save yourself ten bucks. Just don't get yourself CODnapped in the process, because people will just laugh at you and hang up the phone.
