'Super Mario Run' Latest News & Updates: Toad Is Also Playable in the Game & Can Be Unlocked Instantly, Find out How!

"Super Mario Run" is now available for download at the Play Store and apart from the phenomenal Mario, five more characters are also playable including Toad, which can be unlocked instantly. A My Nintendo account is needed to do so and everyone who is interested can create an account in case they don't have one yet.

Creating a My Nintendo account can be done in the app or at My Nintendo official site. In the app, players should go to the Kingdom Builder screen, which looks like the "Super Mario Run" player's little corner of the Mushroom Kingdom and then tap My Nintendo at the uppermost right.

In the "Super Mario Run" screen, ensure that the Rewards tab is highlighted at the topmost to see Toad's big image and then tap on it. Scroll down to see a Redeem button in red color, tap it and a pop-up will appear. Make sure to confirm that there should be zero points to spend for Toad.

Go back to "Super Mario Run" Kingdom Builder to see a gift box that bounces up and down at the top right corner of the screen beside the castle and tap on it. Another screen will then load, which has the list of all available rewards in the gift box.

Tap the Receive button best Toad in "Super Mario Run" or the Receive All button in big green color located at the bottom part of the screen. It will then show Toad's image saying that the steps were successful and Toad can now be played as the player's character.

Toad is a reward by "Super Mario Run" for being a My Nintendo member and redeeming Toad is the same as the other My Nintendo rewards, according to Polygon. "Super Mario Run" on the other hand, is developed by Nintendo for Android and iOs devices released on Dec. 15 worldwide for iOs and in 2017 for Android devices.
