Recent reports claim that one of the members of popular girl group Fifth Harmony, Lauren Jauregui, was arrested due to the possession of marijuana. This led the fans to go gaga over what really happened to the singer. Some fans slam the member while others call her legend.
Fifth Harmony Lauren Jauregui, Arrested for Possession of Drugs?
The 20-year-old singer, Fifth Harmony Lauren Jauregui, was reportedly arrested in Dulles Airport in Washington DC for carrying a bag of marijuana in her luggage, last Tuesday, December 13.
According to TMZ, a law enforcement told the site that Fifth Harmony Lauren was hold in the airport after being stopped at TSA checkpoint. They conducted the secondary search in the singer's belongings.
The said TSA staff found a small bag of weed and from that, police officers allegedly arrested Fifth Harmony Lauren. Much to the dismay of her fans, she was detained and wasn't able to make it to her group's performance in Brazil
What really happened in the airport?
Though there are many claims that Fifth Harmony Lauren was really arrested in the airport, another report clarified that the news surfaced the net is not true. Yes, the staff did found a weed in her carry-on baggage BUT she never got arrested. The article pointed out that the 20-year-old member was only issued a citation.
The singer's attorney stated that the second to the youngest member of Fifth Harmony Lauren Jauregui was neither arrested or detained as the law inforcements only gave her a citation for her possession of weed and eventually got released.
What Fans Really Think about The Issue?
However, netizens and other fans are not convinced on what was reported about Fifth Harmony Lauren as they believe that the singer was really arrested in DC.
One commenter said: "The Lawyer was lying when they stated she was not arrested nor detained but she was trying to board a plane in VA which has NO lax Weed laws. In DC you get a fine for a small quantity if caught in public but NOT in VA."
On the other hand, majority of the fans pointed out that maybe Fifth Harmony Lauren used weed as medication to control herself as she once experienced having panic attacks in airport due to bunch of fans surrounding her.
