'Destiny 2' Release Date, News & Updates: New Guardians, Subclasses Expected; Vicarious Visions To Help Bungie Develop The Game!
The Year 2016 is coming to a close and with no new "Destiny" expansion announcements by far, fans of the series are buzzing with excitement as to what "Destiny 2" will offer them. And with the rumors that there will be a new set of guardians to be part of the game series, the sequel will surely have a better gameplay.
"Destiny," first released worldwide on September 9, 2014, is a first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie and published by Activision. The studios confirmed the sequel, "Destiny 2" during the PlayStation Experience earlier in December. "Destiny 2" has long been rumored to bring in entirely new features to the game, but the studios failed to give any major updates by far.
Rumors have it that "Destiny 2" will introduce a new generation of Guardians and Subclasses. With that said, the sequel will have a deeper RPG-focused class system, contrary to the first "Destiny" franchise which has been criticized for its lack of RPG elements. With one subclass, the second installment of the franchise would make each planet feel more like a complete destination, with their own missions and storylines. Players also expect that "Destiny 2" will let them interact with other players, which will happen with the help of a dialogue choice system.
New Addition To The Super Team
Bungie also made an announcement that a new partner is coming and joining the team for "Destiny 2" -- Vicarious Visions, a New York-based game developer known for developing titles for Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance. "Cash Nitro Kart," "Jedi Knight II," "Jedi Academy," "Doom 3" (Xbox), "Spider-Man," "Spider-Man 2," and the "Ultimate Spider-Man" are also some of the games developed by Bungie's new partner.
As of this writing, Bungie has yet to make official announcements regarding "Destiny 2." All that players can do for now is to just wait and hope for Bungie to provide them a fantastic gameplay.
