Killer Instinct News: Spinal and Fulgore Teased in New Trailer [VIDEO]

Spinal Shown Ahead of Release to Killer Instinct Tomorrow, and a Brief Peek at Fulgore in New Trailer

We're getting that much closer to a complete roster for Double Helix's Xbox One exclusive Killer Instinct revamp. A new trailer is out showing the skeletal Spinal, whose destined to arrive as another brawler for the free to play fighter this time tomorrow. The trailer seems to have been an IGN exclusive, but the footage has also made its way over to YouTube as well. We've embedded the latter below for you to check out below, just make sure you stick around for the whole thing for a special peek at the next fighter.

Let's walk down memory lane for just a moment. I look back on playing Killer Instinct on the Super Nintendo as quite a fond gaming memory, but always there to ruin the good time was this Kate Moss wannabe. Spinal was easily one of the more annoying characters the game had to offer, falling just short of the controller smashing Eyedol. It wasn't just the fact that he presented a challenge, owed to his incessant teleporting, or glowing shield that could suck up a fireball only to spit it back out at you. Spinal had one of the most maddening, screeching voices this side of Liu Kang, and it looks like that, along with his trademark abilities, are back with him.

Originally, Spinal was a resurrected warrior considerably lacking in guts, but only in the physical sense. Now, he's received a vast visual upgrade with a heavy influence from all the souls lost to Davey Jones' locker. His pirateship graveyard even features a kraken that can be unleashed during Ultra Combos, and I'll be damned if that's not a ship's wheel tied to his back.

While his look is new, his moves are not, meaning he should be just as irritating to play against, but prove to be a resillient and tricky player for those who know how to use him.
