iPhone 8 Features, News & Update: New Features Include Curved Display, A11 Processor, Wireless Charging & A Lot More!
With the mixed reaction to the current mobile flagship of Apple, it is undeniable that the iPhone 8 still remains one of the most anticipated devices of 2017. There have now been news stating that the company is testing out 10 prototypes for the upcoming device to be launched on the iPhone's 10th anniversary.
It has earlier been reported that the iPhone 8 will be coming in three models. There would be the base 4.7-inch variant, the 5.5-inch one, and another variant with OLED display. It is also rumored that there would be a curved display for the iPhone 8, stepping in the territory of its famous Samsung competitor.
With OLED display, contrasts are much higher, with deeper blacks, giving a much cleaner look for the iPhone 8. The structural design of the upcoming smartphone might also be similar to that of the iPhone 4 and 4S, with glass at the front and back, surrounded with a metal frame at the edges. This would then give the edge display a premium look on the iPhone 8.
It has also been reported that a new A11 Processing chipset has been designed by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, to be integrated on the iPhone 8. The manufacturing company would then be delivering the goods on the 1st quarter of 2017. These chipsets are geared to be a lot faster and more power efficient than its predecessors.
The upcoming iPhone 8 will also be receiving new wireless charging features, as the trademark metal casing would then be replaced by glass. The all-glass design would allow for wireless charging capabilities on the iPhone 8. Another Taiwanese company is the reportedly responsible for building the wireless chargers.
While this may be good news, there is a very high possibility that Apple will be selling these wireless chargers separately, and will come at a premium cost. However, iPhone 8 fans would have nothing but delight with all these new features.
