Google Nexus 7 Specs, Features, News & Update: Google Set To Release THE Best Tablet Of 2017 – It’s Not Nexus 7!

With so many tablets available in the market, it is difficult to compete and be the best. But Google's newest device might just be the one to top them all. Indeed, there are rumors that the release of the company's flagship Google Nexus 7 is going to be canceled but this is just to make way for an even better tablet - the Google Pixel 7!

After the release of the Google Pixel phones earlier this year, the Google Nexus 7 may follow suit and change its name entirely. For branding purposes, Google might want to name all of its future mobile devices using the Pixel name. If so, it may be launched as the Google Pixel 7.

What makes the Google Nexus 7/Google Pixel 7 so great? Tech enthusiasts are extremely excited for its release because it will likely have a 7-inch, QHD screen display at 1,440 x 2,560 pixels. This makes it great for watching movies in high definition. The tablet could also have a fingerprint scanner at the bottom of the display.

The Google Nexus 7/Google Pixel 7 is expected to have a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-MP selfie snapper.  It is also rumored to have 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.

Compared to other tablets, 64 GB of storage doesn't seem like much. So to up the Google Nexus 7/Google Pixel 7's storage game, a microSD card slot may also be included.

The Google Nexus 7/Google Pixel 7 is rumored to run on a 3,000-mah battery and the Snapdragon 820 chipset. This added power definitely makes it a contender for the best tablet in 2017.

These specs of the Google Nexus 7/Google Pixel 7 are expected to be good enough to compete with the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 and the Apple iPad Pro 2, both of which might also come out in 2017.

As for now, it's best not to expect an Android-Chrome hybrid operating system, known as Andromeda, on the Google Nexus 7/Google Pixel 7 just yet. It would take several years for Google to develop this and it would need to coordinate with all its other devices.

There are rumors saying that the Google Nexus 7/Google Pixel 7 will be made available before the year ends, and this was spurred by the confirmation of renowned tipster Evan Blass. However, this now seems highly unlikely given that there are only a few days left in December. Instead, tech speculators now point to the phone's release in the first quarter of 2017.
