It's not that hard to project as to why top game developer Electronic Arts is ensuring that the next installment in "The Sims" franchise is getting its much-needed boost with the aid of augmented reality technology. The virtual reality (VR) functionality is the thing nowadays and that almost all devices are sporting it and which video game would else benefit if this one is included? "The Sims 5" is definitely at the top, if not the most preferred candidate. The series has been in the game for the longest time and it would be a shame if EA won't take the bite.

Another looming reason for Electronic Arts to take advantage of VR reality functionality is the underwhelming response "The Sims 4" has managed to generate. The latest life simulation entry has received mixed reviews from gaming critics as it somehow failed to deliver an expectation only EA knew how to. The inclusion of VR reality along with the purported 360-degree feature in "The Sims 5" will not only propel the video game among the most sought-after game titles at the time of its release but will also pronounce what life simulation is really all about.

As such, the VR-capable "The Sims 5" will allow gamers to experience what it must be to live through the life of a Sim. Meanwhile, the added VR content and 360-degree feature will also revolutionize an otherwise aging franchise. A boost like these functionalities will surely bring more crowd to this installment.

On the other hand, Electronic Arts has recently released the latest downloadable content (DLC) — "City Living" for "The Sims 4". The third expansion pack has featured a new city called San Myshuno in which it has four unique neighborhoods. Currently dubbed as one of the most anticipated games in the future, "The Sims 5" is expected to be released by the game developer in 2017. It will be released exclusively for Microsoft Windows.
