Xbox One VS PS4: Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes Video Comparison Shows Differences Between All Platfoms [VIDEO]

Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes Video Comparison

We saw pictures of the differences between all of the different Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes versions earlier this week, but Konami has now announced a video comparison that shows exactly what each platform is capable of. The big controversy was of course the fact that the Xbox One version will only run at 720p, the same as the Playstation 3 and XBox 360 versions. The PS4 is the only place to get a true 1080p, 60fps experience.

Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes is the first part of the full Metal Gear Solid 5 experience, with the second part (The Phantom Pain) being the real game everyone's looking towards. Ground Zeroes is more of a prequel to the full game than anything, and expected to be much shorter than a typical installment in the series. Still, they're quick to point out that it will be an open-world game and unlike anything before, which is why they're getting mad about Metal Gear Solid 4 comparisons that gamers are drawing to it.

They also want to emphasise that the game will look amazing no matter what platform you pick it on, hence this comparison video. There's some clear differences between current and next-gen consoles but they're right- it does look pretty great no matter which way you go. It's just hard for Xbox One gamers to hear that they're not going to get the absolute best version.

If you're really excited for the game and still without a PS4 Sony has also announced a special Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes-themed Playstation 4, which will feature the Foxhound logo and retail in Japan for around $461. We'll see if it makes it over here but considering the series' popularity in North America they'd be ridiculous not to.

Definitely hit HD before starting the video to get the full 60fps experience, and expect Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes to hit March 18th.
