Kate Middleton & Prince William; Christmas Will Not Be At The Queen’s

There have been a lot of rumors circulating the internet, considering Prince William and Kate Middleton. One of the most widely spread, with the heaviest weight is that Prince William and Kate Middleton will spend Christmas with her family and not with the Queen.

Vogue is first to report on the arisen issue. According to them, Prince William and Kate Middleton will spend Christmas with the Middleton family and not the Queen. The holidays will be spent in Sandringham as tradition speaks. For a long time it has been a tradition for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to spend their holidays in Sandringham together with the rest of the Middleton family and the extended clan. Now, they will go to Bucklebury, Berkshire taking their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte with them for the holidays, leaving the Queen without her youngest grandchildren.

ABC News reports that there is no hate or unfairness in their decision. Like any other family, they are trying to balance events and presence in both sides of the home, which can sometimes be hard, but still needed. Last year, Kate Middleton and Prince William spent the holidays together with Queen Elizabeth II. Their absence from the royal home is a natural occurrence, which for better or worse, happens everywhere.

The Sun shares additional information on the difference between the event taking place at the royal palace and the one at the Middleton’s household. According to them, while the palace even is burdened by tradition, etiquette and expectations, the Middleton event is quite casual. They all put on jumper suits, buy silly gifts for each other and spend the evening unburdened by any expectation. Next year, maybe they will spend Christmas at Queen Elizabeth II’s place, as William has shared that he wants to spend equal time with both parts of the family.
