OnePlus Latest News & Update: OnePlus Mini 2 Available Soon; Specs Include Snapdragon 810 Chipset, 4GB RAM!
OnePlus Inc. is slowly expanding their lineup of mobile devices, reports have surfaced that there might be a new smartphone in the works. OnePlus Mini 2 is reportedly in development, based on the benchmarks.
According to reports, a new OnePlus smartphone has emerged in GeekBench scan history. Though the data from benchmarking could not quickly be trusted and can easily be spoofed, the report noted that the data for the alleged gadget sounds plausible.
Based on the specifications, OnePlus Inc. is working on a mini version of OnePlus 2 which comes with a 5.5-inch screen. Thus, the indications for a OnePlus Mini 2 start to surface. The specs of the alleged One Plus Mini 2 sports a 4.6-inch screen display with a 1080p resolution, a 12 MP primary camera, front face camera with a 5 MP lens sensor.
The newest smartphone will also come with a pre-installed Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS (operating system), handset with a Snapdragon 810 chipset, which might be paired with 4 GB worth of RAM, and a 64 GB worth of internal memory storage. However, OnePlus Mini 2 does not have an HDR (high-dynamic range image) functionality and NFC (near field communication).
In line with this, OnePlus 2 has a pixel density of 401 ppi, the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4, it is equipped with an LTPS (Low-temperature polycrystalline silicon) IPS (In-plane switching) LCD (Liquid crystal display) capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 1920p screen resolution. It also houses a Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset, as noted by the reports.
OnePlus 2 has a primary camera with 13 MP lens, with laser autofocus and dual-LED (light-emitting diode) flash. While the selfie camera has 5 MP lens sensor. The smartphone is available in two variants. In terms of RAM (Random-access memory) and internal memory, the 16 GB OnePlus 2 with 3 GB of RAM and the 64 GB model with 4 GB RAM. One Plus 2 was released on August 2015.
